Surprisingly, captain Shreyas Iyer was not retained by Kolkata. kkr sunil Narayan, Andre Russell, Rinku Singh, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakraborty and Ramandeep Singh have been retained. Rinku Singh, who won the match for KKR by hitting 5 sixes in 5 balls in IPL 2023, was the biggest retention of the franchise. He was retained by Kolkata Knight Riders by paying Rs 13 crore.

27 year old Rinku Singh made his IPL debut in 2018. He has been playing for Kolkata Knight Riders since the first season. Since then, he has scored 893 runs in 46 matches played in the Indian Premier League while batting at a strike rate of 143. 67 fours and 46 sixes have been seen from his bat in IPL.
